In 1958, Tom & Ula Windle started selling rock hounding and lapidary supplies out
of their one-car garage to area hobbyists. By 1962, they had moved to a 2-car
garage at their present location south of Bartlesville, OK. They began selling
jewelry and doing repair work as well as selling supplies to rock hounds. The
business continued to expand after Tom received a Graduate Gemologist degree
from Geologist Institute of America and in 1975 the family began constructing
their unique A-frame building. At Windle's, you can find a huge selection of gold
and sterling silver jewelry set with diamonds, colored stones and turquoise. You
can also find Frankoma Pottery, geodes and crystals, ironwood animal carvings
and other one-of-a-kind gifts as well as lapidary and silver-smithing equipment.
Windle's also carries a huge selection of natural stone and sterling silver beads and
beading supplies. In 2002, their daughter Tammy Ross joined the business as Sales
Manager.
Highway 75 approximately 1 mile south of Bartlesville, OK. Hours 10 a.m. - 5:30
p.m. Monday - Saturday. Closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
